SIGNS THAT YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS COMING TO AN END

ImageWe all know that love is the sweetest thing ever. But most often than not, relationships turn out in ways we hadn’t anticipated. The love that once bound us together now becomes contaminated, and we start toying with the idea of calling it quits.
Most people have the ability of reading the signs on the wall, they can tell their relationship is on a downward spiral from a mile away. However, there are few of us who are so obstinate and clueless that we’ll even hurt themselves trying to salvage a bed-ridden relationship, only for it to strike us like a lightening from the blue that it’s over. How does one tell that their relationship is about to come to an end?

Lack of contact and communication is among the first symptoms to show in an ailing relationship. She used to call you every hour and narrate to you even the most minute of details about how her day is, but now she never bothers even to say good morning. The unlimited texts you guys used to send each other have now thinned to a trickle of five or less exchanges. You simply don’t have much to talk about nowadays. If this happens, then it’s time to pack up and go.

It is normal for couples to argue now and then, but when the arguments spiral out of control and turn into ugly fights, then time is nigh to put a moratorium to your relationship. Lovers at the cusp of a breakup tend to pick up brutal fights from the most banal of issues, and it gets worse when the arguments spill into public places. Some partners even turn physically abusive.

Another red flag is when you find yourself always yearning for freedom. At the start of an affair, couples usually go gaga over each other; they want to be together from dusk till dawn. They can move heaven and earth just to steal a couple of minutes during the lunch break or any other spare minute in-between their schedules to be together. But when things start going awry, the guy wants to spend more time hanging out with his buddies and the girl now works double overtime. That’s a clear indicator of looming trouble.

When love fades away, trust usually evaporates too. You start finding yourselves keeping secrets from each other, and you lie more often to keep some things out of each others’ eye. This is just but one more sign that your relationship has had its day.

When you spot any of the above signs in your relationship, kindly cut your loses and let it go. There’s no use wasting any more time in a dead-end relationship.
